Halikko Works and Tomi-Steel join forces to further strengthen their offering and competitiveness in all their core customer segments, such as the pulp and paper, off-shore and marine, energy and mechanical industries. At the same time their ownership base has been strengthened and united.
Through a series of transactions a new going concern, Halikko Group Oy, has been formed, with Halikko Works Oy, Tomi-Steel Oy and Euro-Cut Oy fully owned subsidiaries while the ownership at Ii Konepaja Oy is increased to 79%. The group currently generates some EUR 40 million in net sales on annual basis and employs a skilled work force of 240.
The Halikko Group Oy shares are subscribed and owned by investors represented by Helmet Business Mentors Oy, constituting a majority, Finnish Industry Investment Ltd, Eläke-Fennia Mutual Insurance Company and group management.
The Board of Directors, chaired by Seppo Ahonen, has nominated Jorma Leppänen as the Chief Executive Officer and Tomi Juselius as the Executive Vice President of Halikko Group. Mr Leppänen continues as the Managing Director of Halikko Works Oy and Mr Juselius as the Managing Director of Tomi-Steel Oy, while Mr Pentti Aula takes over the Managing Directorship of Iin Konepaja Oy.
The board is formed by Seppo Ahonen, Pauli Kulvik and Kalevi Puonti, all partners in Helmet Business Mentors, Antti Kumu, investment director in Finnish Industry Investment, and Tomi Juselius.
